Things are indeed moving faster than a rogue pepperoni in a takeaway box. We’re barely three months in and somehow still upright, organised(ish), and only mildly covered in flour. Progress!
It’s fair to say we’re a little blown away by the response so far. Your feedback, the queues, the kind words online and in person… it’s proper heartwarming stuff. We set out to make bangin’ pizzas and give folk a top experience, and it seems like we’re doing just that. Thank you.
Festivals, rallies and plenty of fuel for the summer
Next up on the summer circuit: the brilliant York Scooter Rally 50th Anniversary at Breighton Ferry on 18–19 July. We’ll be firing up the oven for hundreds of scooter fans – and let’s be honest, Andy (our one-time-mod and lifelong fan of The Jam) is already eyeing up a post-service pint and a full-throttle sing-along. That’s Entertainment!
In August, we roll into The Field of Dreams Festival – a three-day celebration of campervans, retro rides and good times at Escrick Park Estate just outside York. It’s a proper belter of an event and we’re buzzing to be part of it.
Weekly faves and pub night legends
Massive shoutout to our regulars at The Blacksmiths Arms in Naburn and the Balcony Sports Bar at Harrogate Cricket Club – you lot are brilliant. Serving you each week is a highlight, and we love being part of the local scene. Great chats, great beer, and seriously good pizza? Yes please.
So many enquiries, so little time
We’re knee-deep in wedding and event quotes right now. It’s almost a full-time job in itself – but a really exciting one. These private bookings help shape our autumn calendar and give us something to look forward to once the summer rush dies down (or when we need to swap dough balls for spreadsheets).
And finally… a little something just for us
We’ve knocked up some cheeky new T-shirts to wear during service. They’re a nod to our child-inspired nicknames (Mario & Luigi) and the whole Northern Monkeys idea: Andy’s a true Northerner, Luke’s an Essex lad turned honorary Yorkshireman, and together we’re breaking that old North/South stereotype with pizza, music and good vibes. It’s all about connection, not division – and having a laugh while we’re at it.
